American Way Highlights New Orleans Bywater Neighborhood Featuring HPN
Inflight en route to New Orleans or destinations unknown, American Airlines' passengers were introduced to offbeat charm of the Bywater.
As with most mags that cater to travelers, the article hit the usual notes of food, fun and finds; but they also dove a little deeper into the historic buildings and upcoming projects. For this portion of the piece they called on HPN's own Jason Riggs to weigh in on what makes this neighborhood so special:
"The local architecture goes hand in hand with the people, and the bright Caribbean colors of Bywater are genuinely fun and unique,” says Nathan Marx, who runs Historic Pro NOLA, the urban preservation consultancy. “It’s special here, it has its own character, its own vibe. There really isn’t a neighborhood like it.”
